INI File Settings

The INI file must be in the same directory as the program and have the same name as the EXE in order to be correctly identified.
INI settings include the following.

[Settings]The main section header.
Port=23The listening port number. The use of port 80 is not recommended as it conflicts with any HTTP servers, however this is the default.
IpAddr= IP Address to bind the listener too (only needed if more than one network card / IP address on the PC).
CgiURL=http://www...This is the IP logging web site for dynamic remote reporting of the IP address, this should initially be set to
Logging is only activated when the SendLogDataF value is also set.
SendLogDataF=1This allows EyesAFar to send logging data to the remote server URL entered in CgiURL.
RunHidden=0This allows EyesAFar to run hidden rather than visible by setting the value to one.
RunMinimized=0This allows EyesAFar to run minimized on the start bar rather than open on the desktop by setting the value to one.
ScreenUpdateDelay=.1This is the delay between a standard click being recieved and the screen shot being returned.
If the image is returned too fast for the action carried out to be displayed the value should be increased (recommended default 0.1).Values can be whole number and/or floating point decimals. Negative numbers will have no effect.
LocalName=HomePCThis is used to identify the PC to the remote DynamicHostIPLogger.
SendName=HomePCThis is similar to the LocalName but can be changed by settings in the DynamicHostIPLogger log file.
It is used when redirecting access via EyeRepeater.
SendPort=24This is a port to connect to EyeRepeater, it can be changed by settings in the DynamicHostIPLogger log file.
SendHost= is an address to connect to EyeRepeater it can be changed by settings in the DynamicHostIPLogger log file.
[Preferences]This is the header for the preferences section. Preferences can be set here as initial defaults and are changed when a user changes them using the EyesAFar preferences form.
Refresh=60This is the automatic refresh time. It only applies when the auto refresh link is clicked.
ImageQuality=100This controls the image quality. A value of 100% gives high quality, but can take longer to download. Values are preset in 10% increments, (30% is the recommended minimum).
ImageColour=0This controls the colour on the image returned, 1=Colour, 0=Black & White.
B&W images are generally smaller in size and therefore get returned quicker.
LocalDir=c:\localwebThis is the location on the hard drive where the temporary files are deposited.
This includes the screen capture image.
ControlCodesOn=1This controls the way that special Key commands are interpreted when editing text in the KeyPresses: text box.
Setting this to 1 automatically puts { } curley brackets around control key combinations.
These govern the amount of delay in seconds between the user clicking the mouse button and the image being returned allowing the action requested to be completed first.
[INI Paths]This is the header for a list of INI file entries used on the SetINI form.
Path1=C:\EyesaFar\EyesaFar.iniEach INI file location is entered in full with the Key "Path??=" where the ?? is the number starting at 1 and incremented for each entry.
[QSLApps]This is the header for a list of application locations used in a dropdown combo when the Run Application list is selected.
Each Item has three INI file keynames "Name?=", "Title?=", "{...}=" as follows:
Name1={EFAR}The "Name" keyword holds the EyesAFar command to be called when a user selects the item from the combo list. It must always be inside a pair of curly brackets as shown.
Title1=QSL EyesAFarThe Title keyword holds the command description that is presented to the user in the combo list.
{EFAR}=c:\EyesAFar\EyesAFar.exeThe final keyword is the curly bracketed command entered for the "Name" keyword above. This must match the "Name" keyword exactly and is followed by the full path of the file that is to be run when the user selects this item.
