CCM Card Selling Points:
The CCM (Channel Control Module)
card series is designed to be robust and adaptable.
- Using the ISA slot in I/O mode
(I/O defines "Input / Output" for robustly
interfacing CPU's to Hardware) allows the card to operate
reliably in most PC's. This interface is slower but more
robust and portable than other interfaces commonly in use
(such as memory or DMA porting).
- The right hand side of the
card is entirely committed to cable impedance matching to
ensure best image quality over long runs of coax. Tested
ranges are PAL - 200m, VGA 50m (tested with negligible
loss up to 100m).
- Technology is simple and thus
easily repaired and supported.
- Excellent MTBF (Mean Time
Between Failure) statistics.
- Supported in software by a
range of drivers including driver operating in DOS, Windows
The CCM's I/O only
interface architecture and lack of interrupts makes these cards
popular where stability is critical.
